Frequent Questions

What forms of payment does Coast accept?

We accept cheques, money orders, credit cards, or e-transfers.

What remote videoconferencing services do we offer?

We offer remote reporting so that all parties can participate in the proceeding from the comfort and safety of their own home or office. The video and audio quality is excellent, and it is easy to use. Each virtual attendee will be sent a link that they simply click on to join the virtual meeting. If you prefer to come to our office and have us set up the conferencing for you, we can do that for you. We are happy to do any training you require to feel comfortable with this process. Please call or e-mail our office for more information about this very popular service.

Do you provide realtime reporting?

Coast Reporting provides the highest quality of realtime reporting. We ask that anyone requiring realtime give us as much notice as possible. Realtime is not a service that all reporters are able to provide and, as such, our realtime rates are different than our regular rates. Please contact our office for further information.

Can I order an uncertified transcript?

For many proceedings, the reporter can provide an unedited, uncertified electronic transcript. Please let the reporter know at the beginning of the proceeding if you will require this service.

Do you travel outside of the lower mainland?

With enough notice, our reporters are able to travel outside of Greater Vancouver. Fees may apply depending on distance.

Can your reporters come to us?

We can absolutely send a reporter to your office or another location.

Do you book interpreters and/or videographers or is that up to me?

It would be up to you to arrange the attendance of a translator or videographer. If you are unsure who to call, please see the links we've included here on the website or call the office; we'd be happy to recommend someone!

Can I book a mediation at your offices?

Yes. With enough notice, Coast does host mediations. We can; however, only guarantee the use of 2 boardrooms (1 main + 1 breakout). To schedule, you can use our online booking form or call and speak to one of our office staff. Please be sure to include as many details as possible (i.e. the number of people expected to attend, whether a catered lunch will be required, and if there are any dietary restrictions).
